Sanctum in 3D

Universal Pictures chooses Cinetransformer to promote their latest 3D adventure Sanctum.

Universal was looking for a mobile venue that would allow them to take this amazing 3D underwater journey to top cities across the US.

Their goal was to submerge the audience into a cave-like atmosphere that would enhance the feeling of being trapped underwater and allow every guest to feel part of this adventure.

 

To recreate this effect, the Cinetransformer has been fully decorated outside and inside. High resolution graphics applied to the floor and walls of the theater allow guests to be drawn into the inner-world of Sanctum as they experience exclusive 3D scenes from the film, introduced by three-time Oscar winner James Cameron (Avatar), while enjoying free popcorn and receiving free Sanctum pens.

Universal Pictures 3D action-thriller Sanctum, follows a team of underwater cave divers on a treacherous expedition to the largest, most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth. When a tropical storm forces them deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea.

The Sanctum 3D Mobile Experience National Tour started in Los Angeles, CA at Citywalk in Universal Studios. The tour covers the following US cities: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Austin, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Gainesville, Miami and Orlando.

Press from all over the world enjoyed first hand this unique experience, as executive producer James Cameron, Alister Grierson, director of the film and Andrew Wight, writer and producer, took part in the press conference for a Q&A session after the show inside the Cinetransformer.

The response from the audience has been incredible, every guest coming out of the theater is eager to go see the film, and thousands of people have been transformed into Sanctum Fans!

The tour generated tons of PR including interviews on local TV stations, newspapers and magazines as well as millions of impressions on Facebook and across the web.
